The name of Plasencia comes from the Coat of arms given by King Alfonso VIII of Castilla: "Ut placeat Deo et hominibus", that means: "to please God and the humans", so it means "City of Delight" or "City of Pleasure". It is a city with a lot of history and monuments, worth to visit.

ResponderEliminar@Bea: muchas gracias.
