Campanas de boda - Wedding bells

Hoy es un día muy feliz para Jolly Luise y Jolly Ben, es el día de su boda!!!!!

Today is a happy day for Jolly Luise and Jolly Ben, it is their wedding day!!!

Se casan en un bonito monasterio de la provincia de Cuenca: el monasterio de Uclés. Este monasterio se construyó en el siglo XVI y fue la sede central de la Orden de Santiago

They are getting married in a beautiful monastery in the province of Cuenca: the monastery of Uclés. This monastery was built in the 16th century and was the headquarters of the Order of Santiago (St. James the Greater)

La noche de bodas fue en un precioso hotel rural llamado La Casa del Canónigo, qué bien fueron tratados allí! Si alguna vez tenéis oportunidad, no dudéis en pasar un fin de semana romántico allí, el personal es maravilloso y la comida es fantástica!!!

The wedding night took place in a beautiful rural hotel called La Casa del Canónigo, they were treated very well! If you have the oportunity, don't doubt to spend a romantic weekend there, the staff is wonderful and the food is fantastic!!!!

Dentro del hotel disfrutaron de una romántica y maravillosa sesión de spa para dos, mmmmm!!!!

El personal del hotel les obsequió con un brindis con cava, qué rico!!!

Granny Mäh necesitaba tomarse un día de relax y fue a visitar Segovia. Nada más llegar a la ciudad vio el impresionante acueducto romano: es uno de los monumentos españoles antiguos mejor conservados!

Granny Mäh needed to take a relax day and she went to visit Segovia. On her arrival to the city she could admire the impressive Roman aqueduct: it is one of the ancient Spanish monuments best preserved!

La fecha de construcción del acueducto no se sabe con certeza. Los historiadores la sitúan entre la segunda mitad del siglo I dC y los primeros años del siglo II dC. Es un monumento considerado como Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO

The date of construction cannot be definitively determined. Researchers have placed it between the second half of the 1st Century AD and the early years of the 2nd Century. It is considered World Heritage Site by the UNESCO

Después fue a visitar la Catedral, construida en estilo gótico tardío

She after went to visit the Cathedral, built in a late gothic style

En su paseo encontró una bonita iglesia románica, la iglesia de San Andrés

Y llegó al Alcázar de Segovia

And she arrived to the Alcázar of Segovia

El edificio ha sufrido muchas modificaciones a lo largo de los siglos, y fue en 1882 cuando se restauró a su estado original

The building has suffered lots of modifications throughout the centuries. It was only in 1882 that the building was slowly restored to its original state 

Esta es la iglesia románica de San Martín, construida en el siglo XII

Después de tan bonito paseo, Granny visitó una tienda de recuerdos

After such a beautiful walk, Granny visited a souvenirs shop 

Y, por supuesto, compró una bolsa ovejil :)))

And of course, she bought a sheepy bag :)))

Al final estaba tan hambrienta que decidió entrar a un restaurante y comer el plato típico de Segovia: el cochinillo!!!!

She got so hungry that she decided to enter a famous restaurant and eat the most famous food of Segovia: the "cochinillo" or suckling pig!!!

El cochinillo es una auténtica delicia!!!! (Granny pide perdón a nuestros amigos vegetarianos)

The Cochinillo is an authentic delicatessen!!!! (Granny feels sorry for our vegan friends)

Es hora de volver a casa. Adiós, Segovia!!! Lo he pasado muy bien

Jolly Liselle en la nieve - Jolly Liselle on the snow

Este fin de semana Jolly Liselle hizo una pequeña excursión a La Granja (Segovia)

Last weekend Jolly Liselle made a little excursion to La Granja (Segovia)

 Y tuvo mucha suerte, porque por fin pudo ver la nieve!!! Liselle nació en el sur de Francia y no conocía la nieve :)

And she was very lucky, because at last she could see the snow!!! Liselle was born in the South of France and she did'nt know how the snow was :)

Navidad en Madrid - Christmas time in Madrid

Durante las vacaciones de Navidad es típico recorrer el centro de Madrid, así que el castor Brandon decidió dar un largo paseo. Aquí está en la entrada de la Plaza Mayor
During Christmas Holidays it is typical to walk around the hystorical centre of Madrid, so Brandon the beaver decided to give a long walk. Here he is standing at the entrance of Plaza Mayor

Justo antes de entrar a la Plaza Mayor hay una tienda preciosa con muuuuuchos dulces. Mirad qué osito hecho con muchos mini-ositos de gominola :)
Just before entering to Plaza Mayor there is a beautiful store with lots of sweets. Look at this bear made with lots of mini-gummy bears :)

En la Plaza Mayor se coloca el mercado de Navidad, está lleno de tiendecitas preciosas!!!! Aquí Brandon está bajo la estatua de Felipe III

Hay muchos puestos que venden figuritas para el Belén. Son realmente bonitos!!!

La Calle Preciados, es la segunda calle más concurrida del mundo después de la 5ª Avenida de Nueva York!!!!
