Rabbit Carotti estaba aburrido en casa, así que cogió la Nici- moto y se fue a dar una vuelta muy-muy larga...
Rabbit Carotti was bored at home, so he took the Nici-Bike and went away to a long-long excursion

Primero viajó hasta Zaragoza, desde aquí se ve el Monasterio de Piedra, un auténtico paraíso para visitar. Otro día os enseñaré fotos de allí :)

Es una pequeña iglesia perteneciente al Románico Rural. Aquí podéis ver la figura de un león

Esta iglesia pertenece un grupo de iglesias que aportan como innovación en el románico un acceso cubierto por un pórtico que se extiende por todo el lateral meridional de la nave. Esta innovación de proteger el accerso creando un espacio cerrado y abrigado nace como una necesidad dada la dureza del invierno en la zona y para albergar en ello las juntas comunales.
This church belongs to a group of churches that innovate the romanesque style with an access covered by a portico all over the southern lateral of the church. This innovation is made to shelter the communal meetings because the cold winters of the region

La Laguna Negra es una Laguna de origen glaciar situada al norte de la provincia de Soria

Se halla situada en el corazón del espacio Natural Sierra de Urbión, a 1.700 m de altitud
It is sited in the middle of the Natural park of Sierra de Urbión, at 1.700 m high

La vegetación que habita en la zona de la laguna Negra es más típica del norte europeo que de la península Ibérica
The vegetation of this place is more typical of the north of Europe than the one from the Iberian peninsula

Está situada entre paredes graníticas y bordeada por infinitos pinares, dan a esta Laguna su aspecto oscuro y tenebroso
It is placed between granitic walls and sorrounded by infinite pinegroves, they give to this lagoon its dark aspect

Es uno de los lugares más bellos de la provincia de Soria
It is one of the most beautiful places of the province of Soria

Es un lugar que ha inspirado muchas leyendas

Una de esas leyendas dice que la laguna no tiene fondo

Lucy no sabe si las leyendas son ciertas, pero lo que sí sabe es que es un lugar maravilloso!!!

Castillos e iglesias - Castles and churches

Durante las vacaciones, Girafa ha podido visitar muchos monumentos. Esta es la iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Muela, en un pueblo medieval llamado Monteagudo de las Vicarías (Soria), de estilo gótico (siglos XV-XVI)
During the holidays, Giraffe has visited a lot of monuments. This is "Nuestra Señora de la Muela" church, sited in a medieval town called Monteagudo de las Vicarías (Soria), of gothic style (15th and 16th centuries)

Este es el castillo de Monteagudo de las Vicarías. Lo mandó edificar Juan Hurtado de Mendoza en la primera mitad del siglo XV. Es de estilo gótico-renacentista y fue muy importante en la Edad Media porque se situaba en la antigua frontera con el Reino de Aragón
This is the castle of Monteagudo de las Vicarías. It was ordered to be built by Juan Hurtado de Mendoza in the first half of the 15th century. Its style is gothic-renacentist and it was a very important castle in the Middle Age because it was sited in the former frontier with the Reign of Aragón

Luego viajó hasta otro pueblo llamado "Serón de Nágima", donde hay un castillo abandonado. Estas son las ruinas
After she travelled to another town called "Serón de Nágima", where there is an abandoned castle. These are its ruins

La torre del castillo se derrumbó este invierno, qué pena :(

Después viajó a un pueblo llamado "Labros". Ésta es la torre de la iglesia.

Finalmente Girafa llegó hasta la provincia de Aragón. Este es un pueblo llamado "Torrehermosa". Mirad dónde se ha subido!!! Está en un pináculo dedicado a San Pascual Bailón. Antiguamente en la entrada de los pueblos, se colocaban estos pináculos con la imagen de la Virgen o de un santo, para que protegiera al pueblo de los malos espíritus
Finally Giraffe arrived to the province of Aragón. This is a town called "Torrehermosa". Look where she has climbed up!!! She is on a pinnacle dedicated to Saint Pascual Bailón. Formerly at the entrance of the towns, these pinnacles were sited with a image of the Virgin Mary of some saint in order to protect the town against bad spirits

Hola de nuevo, amigos!!! Ya hemos vuelto de vacaciones (*snif*). Este verano hemos estado en Soria, donde tenemos una casita en un pequeño pueblo. Allí nos lo hemos pasado muy bien y hemos disfrutado de la paz del campo, lejos de la gran ciudad, y hemos hecho muchas excursiones en moto! Espero que os gusten las fotos :)

Hi again, my friends!! We're back from holidays (*sob*). This summer we've been to the province of Soria, where we have a house in a little town. We've had a very nice time there and we have enjoyed the peaceful countryside, far away from the big city, and we've made a lot of excursions by bike! I hope you will like the pics :)
